Quick question for you - click here If you're looking for a career with us, the sky's the limit. We have plans to open at least three more stores in the Boston area over the next few years. You can work your way up to eventually become an Assistant or Head Coach. We promote from within whenever possible; we will work with you on a performance and development plan if a career with us is your desire. A dishwasher who started with us two years ago is now running two of our stores.

sweetgreen is a culinary lifestyle brand dedicated to smartly sourced, seasonal food, and to the commitment of living the sweetlife. Our food is delicious, healthy and transparent and we work with like-minded farmers and growers who value sustainability.

Let us tell you about the part you will play.

Our Team Members are assigned to one of two fast-paced areas:
  • Back of the store (kitchen) where all the ingredients for our menu items are prepared from scratch. This includes chopping, cooking, preparing salad dressings and drinks, all from scratch all day long.
  • Front of the store (line) where you will meet and greet customers. Unlike other quick service restaurants, we are not an assembly line model.  When you greet a customer, you are with them from when they order to when they pay. You fill their order, preparing items from our extensive menu, and ensure that the order is prepared precisely they way they want it. We have many regular customers and you will begin to know them by name (or menu item).
We offer many menu items but salads are our most popular. We offer twelve and, in order to be "floor ready" you will memorize the ingredients of each one.

This is what we are looking for from you:

  • Add the sweet touch - blend your unique personality with the ability to create positive guest and team experiences.
  • Make an impact - whether through back of house operations or front of house experiences, work cohesively with your team to exceed expectations.
Hours: We offer flexible, constant hours. The more you have availability to work, the more shifts we will give you. We offer the kind of flexibility that works well for High School and College students. If you need them, we can provide set hours each week.

Uniforms: We provide shirt, hat and headbands. You provide khaki pants and appropriate, safe shoes (we are happy to purchase them for you and deduct the cost from your paycheck).

Keys to Success

Although your customer service skills will be essential, to truly find success in this role you will be passionate about our mission of serving high-quality, local cuisine. It’s safe to say that you like knowing where your food is coming from and you enjoy fresh fare that tastes good and is good for you.

In addition to your keen culinary mindset, you should also thrive in a fast-paced environment. Things move quickly here (especially during peak meal times), and you’ll need excellent prioritization and multitasking skills as you serve our guests.

If you can’t get enough kale and quinoa and you’re always on the lookout for the next new sustainable super food, this could be the ideal environment for you.

The sweetgreen story

Seven years ago, college students Nathaniel Ru, Nicolas Jammet and Jonathan Neman embarked on a mission to connect with people through food. After searching hopelessly for fast-casual food destinations that met their criteria for healthy eating, the trio decided to create their own: and sweetgreen was born.

Fast-forward to 2014, and sweetgreen has grown into something much bigger. With almost 30 locations (and more coming soon), sweetgreen unites a passionate community of farmers, customers and employees with an emphasis on local, organic food, superior aesthetics, great customer service and today’s hottest music.

think sustainably
make decisions that will last longer than you will

make an impact
think smarter, work harder, do it together
